I haven't re-set  up the tank since my barbs all died. I still have the live plants in there. Our water in our town, is so bad, I have to use different water for the tank. I don't know what to do?

Just did a 6 test water test

nitrate 40

nitrate 0

hardness very hard

Total Chlorine safe

Total Alkkalinity 120 Ideal

PH 8.4

I bought this new product called Tetra EasyBalance plus which regulates ideal ph, reduces frequent water changes. Anyone heard of this product?

What kind of fish can I have in the tank?

The nitrates can typically lowered with water changes, but i suspect youre getting those from your tap water, i would test it right out of the faucet and see.  It can be removed in other ways, but is usually kind of a pain to deal with. Dont worry we can work it out Smiley
